Approach

1)  Workshop Facilitation

Workshops are arranged using structured business strategy development and futures/horizon scanning techniques. The events are highly interactive, thus effecting skills transfer as well as delivering tangible results

2)  Futures Analysis Activities

A range of different structured futures techniques are used; for example Systems Thinking, Scenario Planning, Driver Analysis, 7 Questions, Roadmapping, Abstracting, Visioning, and Windtunnelling

3)  Creating Business/Action Plans

One of the challenges is how to use the insights from futures analysis in your business and action plans.  Structured analytical techniques are used to translate futures insights into tangible material that can then be incorporated into business/actions plans - for example, risks, business performance indicators, alignment of projects

4)  Business Performance Indicators

It is sometimes necessary to develop indicators linked to the insights derived from futures activities.  Moreover, you may want to create a Balanced Scorecard incorporating a specific perspective relating to forward thinking/futures insights.   

5)  ‘Critical Friend’ advice

You can call on an ad hoc basis (normally facilitated by a call-off contract) to provide advice and guidance. Advice is given on the techniques to use, designing a strategy workshop, reviewing what you have created, how to engage senior stakeholders and communicate the output of your futures analysis

6)  Training

Off-the-shelf training courses are available, ranging from half to two-day courses, and they can be customised to meet your specific need. More information is shown on the training page of this website
